Welcome to the online on-demand web seminar, where you will discover the basics of barre training! Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of this workout method that combines elements of classical ballet, Pilates, yoga and strength training. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have any previous knowledge of ballet! The training takes place completely online on-demand. This means you can complete it from the comfort of your own home, organize your time as you wish and learn at your own pace. This eliminates travel and accommodation costs. Upon successful completion, this module will provide you with the basic skills to lead a beginner barre workout class with passion and confidence.
In order to qualify you need to meet the following requirements
- Good physical and mental fitness
- Training as a Pilates teacher or group fitness trainer or similar
- Some group fitness teaching experience is beneficial
- Good sense of rhythm and musicality
- Basic knowledge of anatomy
The contents of the Barre BASIC module
- Concept introduction
- The history of barre training
- Contraindications
- Technique in theory & practice
- The correct alignment
- Intermediate theory test (multiple-choice)
- Ballet basics/basic positions
- Barre basics/exercises
- Weights/barbell training
- Functional training
- Barre BASIC class/model lesson
The final exam via video submission
After you have completed the Barre BASIC module with the on-demand instructional videos, you will create your own exam video. In this video, you film yourself teaching a complete barre workout class for beginners with 2-4 participants. Then send us a link to your video. You will then receive personal and very detailed feedback that will help you in your development as a barre instructor.
If your assessment is positive, you have passed the exam. The certificate will then be sent to you. There is no license fee, but you must mention THE BOUTIQUE BARRE STUDIO® | ACADEMY as your training institution as follows: “Certified BARRE BASIC INSTRUCTOR by THE BOUTIQUE BARRE STUDIO®”. Now you are well prepared to successfully lead a barre workout class for beginners!
